Upstream Watch and FHH have scored another major victory against the Nordic proposal! On March 9, 2023, Upstream submitted a petition to suspend or revoke the licenses issued to Nordic. On April 10, 2023, FHH also submitted a petition along with their discovery that a parcel of the land sold to Nordic was gifted to the State with the restriction that it never be developed beyond timber harvest in order to protect the Little River water resource. We are delighted to report that the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) issued a decision on June 21 to suspend Nordic Aquafarms’ Site Location of Development Law and Natural Resources Protection Act permit and Air Emissions License.
